Company offsites are not normal meetings. The conversation is more casual, but still connected to work. You may want to sound friendly and relaxed without becoming too formal or too quiet.
What to practice
- Casual openings. Start conversations around travel, food, activities, or the team.
- Work-to-social transitions. Move from work topics into lighter topics naturally.
- Group reactions. Add short comments that fit the group's rhythm.
- Warm follow-ups. Ask questions that help people keep talking.
